Jessica Roderer’s performances are “rich in emotion and dramatic passion”, The Deseret Morning News.
Jessica graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors in Piano Performance and continued on to receive her Masters and Doctorate of Musical Arts in piano performance from the University of Southern California where she studied with Norman Krieger.
Dr. Roderer performs in a variety of settings, including giving faculty recitals at USU featuring both solo and collaborative works. She has soloed with the Utah State University Symphony Orchestra as a student and recently returned as an alumni to perform with the same orchestra playing Brahms 2nd concerto. She has performed as a collaborative artist with members of the Fry Street Quartet as well as other faculty at USU, and also collaborates with members of the Utah Symphony. Dr. Roderer has performed in master class for artists including Emilio del Rosario, SpencerMeyer, StephenHough, NinaLelchuk, ByronJanis and SergeiBabayan.
A composer and arranger, Jessica has served as a music specialist for the Opera By Children outreach program, in connection with the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre company, which focuses on teaching children in elementary schools how to write and perform their own operas.Jessica is an experienced teacher in both individual piano instruction and the classroom. Along with teaching her own private studio, Dr. Roderer teaches private piano instruction at Utah State University.
