Ryan has extensive work experience accompanying and coaching. Some of the organizations Ryan has worked for are the Heifetz International Music Institute, the Foulger International Music Festival and the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theater. While working for FIMF, Ryan had the opportunity to perform at the Lincoln Center in New York City. He is also a two time winner of the USU Concerto Competition. As a self-taught Jazz pianist, he also enjoys arranging, composing, and collaborating with others. Ryan has a bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and a Master's degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. Both degrees are from USU where his principal teacher was Gary Amano. Ryan has also studied composition with Dr. Kevin Olson and Piano Collaboration with Anne Epperson and attended a week long intensive with Alan Fraser. In Ryan's spare time, he enjoys running in the mountains, gardening and chasing his 3 kids.
