Emily Densley, Percussion Faculty Associate at Utah State University, received a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Music Education with an emphasis in percussion from Utah State University. From 2010-2015, while attending USU, she was involved in many musical groups including: marching band, jazz combo and big band, orchestra, wind orchestra, pep band, bagpipe band, percussion ensemble, and Caine Percussion Ensemble. She has performed with notable groups such as the American Festival Chorus, and the Utah Festival Opera.
She was the principle percussionist in the USU Wind Orchestra, has received multiple awards at the Utah Day of Percussion, and was selected to be in the Caine scholarship percussion ensemble for all 5 years while attending USU. Through high school and college, Emily has studied percussion with Randall Beach, and USU professors Dr. Dennis Griffin, and Dr. Jason Nicholson. Currently, Emily is the USU Drum Line instructor, and composes/arranges all percussion parts for the marching band. She is also assisting with percussion instruction at both Sky View and Logan High Schools.
