    Nate Ostermiller has appeared on the television show Top Gear USA (Season 6 Ep. 2), where he played the national anthem in the style of Jimi Hendrix. He performs regularly with the Utah Symphony, the Jon Gudmundson Quartet, the Larry Smith Orchestra, as well as his own groups. Nate has also performed with The Midtown Men, Michael Feinstein, Ellis Hall, Melissa Errico, Morgan James, Michael Lynche (American Idol season 9), Hugh Panaro, the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra, and Leaping Lulu. Nate received his Bachelors Degree in Guitar Performance from Utah State University along with many awards and honors including the Outstanding Guitarist Award several years in a row. There he studied with renowned guitarist and educator, Mike Christiansen. For his Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies, Nate attended Indiana University where he studied with a world class jazz faculty including the current director of USU's Guitar Dept. Corey Christiansen, Jeremy Allen, and legendary jazz educator David Baker.
