Student chamber ensembles are an important part of student development. Our music department offers a variety of chamber ensembles including Flute Choir, Trombone Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Musica Viva, string quartets, guitar ensembles, jazz combos, Caine chamber ensembles, and various others. Playing in chamber groups allows students the opportunity to play in a more intimate setting and learn to communicate musically with other players by playing without a conductor. Playing in a Chamber Ensemble also opens up a whole new world of repertoire for students to study and better prepares them for the professional world of music performance. Some of these chamber groups are open to all interested students while others are by audition only and may offer scholarship stipends for participation.
